I'd never heard the Wilde quote about stillborn babies being a prank from heaven. One of my favorite observations is expressed much more kindly: "The sorrows of life are the joys of art", spoken by John Barrymore in The Twentieth Century (1934). I've looked for earlier versions of this line, but so far Barrymore seems to be the primary source.

In the future there will be no advertising, it will have been made redundant by your personal algorithm making your consumer choices for you…….etc.
